Summer program volunteers contribute to Ecuador by teaching English, getting involved in other community projects, acting as cultural ambassadors of the US and by furthering their own knowledge of foreign lands for future endeavors abroad.  The program emphasizes experiential-learning and is an ideal first step to those interested in international development work and/or education. 

The summer program runs from mid-June to mid-August.

English language fluency is required.  Prior teaching experience is helpful but not required.  Successful volunteers will be flexible, mature, resourceful, and have a genuine interest in teaching in Ecuador.  The summer program is open to undergraduates.
