Join an Adventure in Service!  Global Volunteers, a “pioneer” of volunteer vacations since 1984, is in consultation with the U.N. and UNICEF.  Mobilizing some 300 teams of short-term volunteers annually, we work in close partnership with indigenous leaders on GENUINE development projects in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, North America, South America, and the South Pacific. Full-day work projects focus primarily on service to at-risk youth and families living in poverty. 

You’re needed to teach conversational English to children and adults, care for orphaned and abandoned babies, nurture youth in clinics, children’s homes, daycare centers and clinics, assist with health care, and work on a wide array of labor projects, including painting, landscaping, building playgrounds, repairing community buildings, and improving public works.  Local country managers and team leaders match volunteers’ skills and interests to current community needs so you can be certain your contribution is optimized according to the highest standards of international service.

Global Volunteers supports more than 100 host communities through year-around volunteer service, on-going project funding and child and classroom sponsorships.  Our Philosophy of Service requires that:
