![]() ![]() Join GVI in Kenya and volunteer to help conduct dolphin research from a boat and have the opportunity to snorkel and see turtles and other marine life. As a volunteer on this project you will receive complete training provided by GVI's full time research staff allowing you to have a hands on experience and make an invaluable contribution to the preservation of these majestic animals. You will live and work in the beautiful Shimoni Archipelago, off the coast of the Indian Ocean on the border with Tanzania, a world class location for viewing whales and dolphins as well as other wildlife. Many exciting opportunities exist for weekend side trips as well as joining other GVI projects in the nearby area.
*How this program makes a difference* GVI supports several partners on this project, including the Kenyan Wildlife Services, in cetacean research. Through education, environmental awareness and current wildlife monitoring studies, our collaborative work has been building capacity within the communities, assisting them in developing sustainable tourism practices and protecting cetacean and primate species within the area.
